ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Midland, Texas.
Job Description & RequirementsOpportunity:
\nRegistered Nurse - PACU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• 2 years of experience preferred with all surgeries except cardiac procedures
\n• Experience with pediatrics required and critical care strongly preferred
\n• Must assist with coverage in Pre-Op holding area
\n• Level II trauma experience preferred
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH
\n• Call required as part of assignment
\n• Minimum of 1 weekend shift per contract required
\n• Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts
\n• Must have experience recovering patients from Plastics, Urology, Dental, and GYN procedures
\n• Experience required with monitoring patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and arterial lines
\n• Care for all age groups from 8 months old to 100+ years old
\n• Daily census of approximately 30 patients with 21 beds available
\n• Cerner charting system experience preferred
\n• Must orient to Pre-Op holding as nurses float between PACU and Pre-Op when needed
\n• On-site drug screen required with comprehensive panel testing
\n• All documentation due 3 business days prior to start date
\n• Expect to work some holidays
