As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will interact with patients through individual, group, and family counseling sessions. You will collaborate with a dedicated treatment team, including our Medical Director, Program Director, Treatment Services Coordinator, Counselors, and Nurses, to assess and address the clinical needs of patients, supporting their overall health and well-being.
For over three decades, our organization has been a prominent national provider of outpatient treatment centers, specializing in delivering safe, high-quality care for individuals dealing with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).

Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer documentation.
Record patient progress through counseling and group interactions.
Develop patient psychosocial assessments and individualized treatment plans within designated timeframes.
Identify clinical and case management needs and work towards addressing them.
Conduct individual, group, and family counseling as necessary.
Engage in at least 20 hours of direct one-on-one patient contact weekly through individual and/or group sessions.
Educate patients on all facets of treatment, related health issues, and recovery steps.
Collect Urine Drug Screens and initial patient identification photos.
Act in the best interests of the program and organization; safeguard and respect proprietary data and rights.

Experience Required: Previous experience in the substance abuse field is preferred but not mandatory.
