This role balances clinical excellence, interdisciplinary engagement, supervision, and academic contribution in a diverse adult patient population. Position Highlights Clinical focus on adult outpatient and inpatient assessments (stroke, concussion, TBI), with extension into neurodegenerative and transplant populations Provides full psychological services, including pre- and post-transplant evaluations, consultation, brief interventions, and participation in multidisciplinary team discussions Screens for psychiatric comorbidities, substance abuse, health literacy, cognitive impairment, motivation, adherence risk, and family support systems Collaborates with neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, cardiology, primary care, and transplant/MCS teams for holistic patient care Conducts comprehensive neuropsychological testing, interprets results, authors clear reports, and offers feedback to patients/families Deliversbrief evidencebased treatments aimed at enhancing emotional adaptation, adherence, and quality of life Engages in consultation and ongoing care, especially for candidates with post-surgical challenges Actively participates in team meetings, case conferences, and staff meetings Supervision and training duties for psychometrists, practicum students, including seminars, grand rounds, and case presentations Affirm and foster Banners mission: committed to happiness in medicine, ensuring cultural engagement and bilingual services Minimum Qualifications Doctoral degree (PhD/PsyD) + APAaccredited postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology Board certified/eligible (ABCN) certification required within three years of hire Licensed or license-eligible in Arizona (AZBP) Clinical familiarity with stroke, TBI, headache, transplant, psychiatric, MSK, and medicalcomorbidity populations Spanishlanguage neuropsychological test administration strongly preferred Teaching, supervision, and leadership in academic clinical settings essential Why Join Banner University Medical Center Phoenix?
