Description Phoenix Systems is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Audio/Video installation technician to join our team in South Carolina. This position reports to the Charleston, SC office and supports business in Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, Charleston, and surrounding areas. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform service, installation, and activation of security systems, surround sound systems, and related components. Identify and repair security system malfunctions and false alarms. Troubleshoot and repair wiring for Phone/Data/Intercom/Security/WAPs/Cameras, etc. Learn and understand security systems (2Gig, DSC, QOLSYS, etc.). Handle installation of networking components like routers, switches, DVRs, WAPs. Understand monitoring protocols with Phoenix and monitoring stations. Communicate with customers regarding work orders and system functions. Provide training to customers on system operations. Assess system design and functionality for upgrades. Handle after-hours emergency calls on a rotation basis. Discuss monitoring pricing with customers. Install and train homeowners on AV packages. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education: Minimum 2 years experience in security and A/V installations. Deep knowledge of security systems and wiring. Understanding of cable types and installation scenarios. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with excellent customer service. Ability to work independently and complete assignments. Willingness to obtain necessary tools. Must clear background check and drug screening; valid MVR required. Technical or vocational schooling preferred. Physical Requirements: Stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, talk, hear. Use of ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, occasional up to 100 pounds. Work Environment: Active construction sites, temperature/humidity variations, dust, moderate noise.
