Location: Wayzata, MN (Hybrid – 2–3 days/week onsite)

Duration: 6+ months (Possible extension)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Title: Senior UX Designer (Level 3) – New Product Development

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to join a brand-new product team and build a product from the ground up. This is a senior individual contributor role with strong ownership and leadership expectations. The designer will work closely with product managers, engineers (frontend & backend), and data scientists to deliver complex, data-driven products.

Key Responsibilities

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using modern UX tools (Figma required)
• Lead end-to-end UX efforts: discovery → POC → solution delivery
• Conduct and analyze user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing)
• Iterate designs based on user and stakeholder feedback
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align UX with business goals and technical constraints
• Develop UX documentation including personas, journey maps, and workflows
• Ensure brand consistency and accessibility compliance
• Lead usability testing and drive continuous UX improvement
• Mentor and coach other designers and team members

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of senior-level UX design experience
• Strong product UX background (not marketing or visual-only design)
• Proven experience building products from ground zero
• Deep research-driven UX expertise
• Advanced proficiency in Figma
• Strong collaboration with engineering teams
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience leading without formal authority
• Familiarity with AI in UX is a plus

Preferred Domain Experience

• Merchant & Trading domain
• Data-heavy or data-science-driven products
• Working closely with traders or merchants

Interview Process

• Two virtual rounds (Microsoft Teams)
• Interviews with business and IT/engineering stakeholders
• Portfolio review required (must show ground-up product ownership and impact)

Notes
