Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Breast Oncology Clinic position, requiring oncology and triage experience and a current WI or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Work in an oncology clinic specializing in breast cancer patient care
  • Day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Assigned to the breast medical oncology team for comprehensive patient care
  • Floating may occur to other units if required by staffing needs
  • No weekend or holiday shifts required for this assignment
  • Provide multidisciplinary, compassionate care to breast cancer patients and their families across prevention, screening, treatment, and survivorship
  • Educate and coordinate care for patients with breast cancer or related conditions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, oncologists, genetic counselors, and advanced practice providers
  • Participate in a structured department-specific orientation, typically one week
  • First-time travelers are accepted for some units
  • Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
  • Pass/fail testing and competency renewal for telemetry are required

  • Active WI or compact RN license in hand at time of application
  • Minimum of two years of recent acute care RN experience in oncology within the past three years
  • Experience with oncology nursing and live answer telephone triage
  • Competency in targeted patient assessments
  • Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start, with strict pass/fail criteria
