Job Title: Private Duty Nurse (RN or LPN) – “PDN”
Setting: School
Location: Charles County, MD
Hours (School Year): Day Shift, 5x8, M-F
LPN Pay: $41/hour
RN Pay: $59/hour
Start Date: ASAP
Summary of Position:
The PDN provides all the primary care of the student from when the student boards the school bus to when the student arrives at home. The PDN will meet student at residence and accompany student to and from school on the school bus. (Please note that the PDN is not permitted to enter the residence). The PDN may accompany the student to enable them to attend school-sponsored and/or school-funded programs outside of school and/or outside of the school day.
Requirements:
· Current RN (registered nurse) or LPN (licensed practical nurse) licensure in the state of Maryland
· Covid vaccination, or weekly testing if not vaccinated
· Pediatric, public health pediatric, or school nursing experience (or similar)
Essential Functions: Varied based on specific student case (diabetes, trach, asthma, DiGeorge Syndrome, seizure disorders, gtube, etc.).
