Role Summary: As a Sales Specialist I, you will be the face of our business and the primary point of contact with our customers. You will be responsible for accurately handling financial transactions, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring that our customers have a positive and memorable shopping experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide fast, friendly service
• Scan and ring up items for customers
• Receive payment and provide correct change
• Answer customer questions and provide information on products
• Process returns and exchanges
• Count and document cash in register
• Process credit and debit card transactions
• Balance cash drawer
• Maintain a clean and pleasant work environment
• Follow safety and security procedures
• Follow cash handling procedures
• Entry level customer service and counter sales
• Moderate use of NetSuite
• Moderate level of product knowledge
• Building customer relationships
• Regular sales outreach to existing customers
• Outreach to potential customers
• Operate with FORTITUDE: Fun, Optimism, Respect, Teamwork, Integrity, Trust, Unity, Drive, and Empowerment

Minimum Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Retail Associate & Cashier experience 1 year (preferred)
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Proficiency in English
• Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking strongly preferred
• Basic Math skills
• Hands-on experience with POS transactions
• Familiarity with inventory procedures
• Goes into the yard when assisting customers
• Punctual and regular attendance per scheduled shifts
• Other duties as assigned
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
• Forklift and equipment operation experience is a plus
• Computer knowledge is a plus
• Must be 18 years of age or older

WORK ENVIRONMENT  

Work is performed onsite at a company store and related outside yard and warehouses. Work is performed onsite at a company store and related outside yard and warehouses. Work environment varies as this position often requires time spent indoors at the store seated at a computer, or outside in the elements assisting employees and customers in the yard and warehouse.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, requiring a standard 40-hour workweek. Hours may fluctuate based on the season, with weekend work and occasional overtime required based on business needs.

Compensation details: 25-27 Hourly Wage
