• Location: Beloit Memorial Hospital Emergency Department - Beloit, WI
• Pay Range: $18.75 - 28.13/hour
• Shift: 1 st and 2 nd shifts available
• Schedule:
  • 1 st shift - varied
  • 2 nd shift - 3p-11p
• Hours per week: 16 (1 st ), 16 (2 nd ) & 20 (Varied)/week
• Benefits Status: 20/week is Eligible

This position will:

• Greet and work with patients with a high degree of customer service
• Register patients and update information as necessary
• Verify eligibility
• Check in patients and make follow-up appointments
• Collect co-pays
• Perform inpatient verification duties
• Enter appropriate diagnostic information, demographics, and insurance information into the hospital information system to facilitate patient care and hospital billing procedures
• Ensure that patients flow through the registration process as quickly and efficiently as possible, while also ensuring all fiscal procedures are followed in a consistent manner

Required:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

• Registration experience
• Knowledge of basic accounting processes and healthcare terminology
• 1-2 years of customer service and/or business office experience, ideally in a medical setting strongly preferred
