Radiology - Physician at Vanderbilt University Medical Center summary:

This position is for a full-time musculoskeletal radiologist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, focusing on clinical practice or clinician-educator roles. Responsibilities include diagnostic imaging interpretation, image-guided interventions, and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows within a Level I Trauma Center environment. The role requires fellowship training, board certification eligibility, and participation in multidisciplinary care and academic activities.

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking full-time musculoskeletal radiologists for the clinical practice or clinician-educator tracks.

Position Summary:

  1. Teach medical students, residents, and fellows
  2. Services provided to Vanderbilt University Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, and Vanderbilt Health outpatient centers
  3. VUMC has a busy and growing Orthopedic Surgery practice including:
    1. Level 1 trauma center, tertiary referral center
    2. NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center and NCCN Member Center
  4. Focus on well-being, with a culture of collegiality, collaboration, & creativity
  5. Daily clinical work includes interpretation of diagnostic studies and image guided intervention
  6. Opportunity to develop and grow professional interests
  7. Academic rank and salary commensurate with experience

Position Requirements:

  1. Fellowship training in musculoskeletal radiology
  2. Hold an MD or equivalent degree
  3. ABR eligible/certified
  4. Eligible for TN license
  5. Comfort/willingness to perform routine fluoroscopy/CT/US guided procedures
  6. Participation in multidisciplinary conferences and education of trainees and medical students
