Job Description

Join the LPN - Baptist Spine and Neurosurgery role at INTEGRIS Health . This position is located in Northwest Oklahoma City, OK, and requires an 8:00am to 5:00pm shift, MondayFriday.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for the delivery of patient care utilizing the nursing process, under the supervision of a physician.
• Contribute to the assessment/reassessment of patients.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions.
• Monitor for signs and systems related to abnormal lab values and deviations from baseline assessments.
• Report changes in patient status to the physician and initiate new orders as directed.
• Promote patient satisfaction and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
• Participate in charge management to ensure chart accuracy with each visit.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.
• Report suspected abuse and refer patient/family to appropriate health or social resources.
• Perform venipuncture, EKG, waived testing, bone density, Xray, and other procedures as assigned; sterilize equipment after procedures.
• Gather and document information about patient condition, including lab values, pain levels, patient education needs, nutritional status, and potential complications.
• Contribute to the assessment/reassessment of patients.
• Monitor and document patient status.
• Participate in the development of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of appropriate interventions, which may include medication administration.

Physical Demands

This position may have additional or varied physical demands and respiratory fit test requirements. Potential exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, and chemicals. Must follow standard precautions. Home Health: exposed to inclement weather while driving to and from patient homes and to extreme temperature changes, poor lighting, poor ventilation, and other environmental hazards.

Reports to the department director, business office manager, or clinical manager/weekend supervisor.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact member state.
• Previous work experience preferred.
• BLS and/or ACLS as required by department.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).

Additional Requirements for IMG/ICP Float Pool Positions

• Must operate an INTEGRISowned vehicle or personal vehicle and hold a current Oklahoma State drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
• For Kansas clinics, must hold a Kansas State drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
