A fast-growing technology organization in the fleet and field-service management industry is searching for a Senior Golang Software Engineer to play a key role in a large-scale modernization effort. This includes transforming a legacy monolithic platform into a modern, distributed, microservices-based architecture.

What Youll Do

In this role, you will:

• Lead the transition from a monolithic platform to scalable, cloud-native microservices written in Golang
• Design and develop APIs (REST, gRPC, GraphQL) in a modern cloud environment
• Build highly available, secure, and fault-tolerant services used in real-world logistics and operational workflows
• Architect and implement event-driven systems leveraging Kafka
• Apply strong database expertise across relational, NoSQL, and modern data warehouse platforms
• Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship, and guide less experienced engineers
• Support engineering best practices and contribute to evolving development standards
• Collaborate with product and technical teams to deliver critical services and features

What Were Looking For

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on programming in Golang
• Experience designing and implementing network-based APIs (REST/gRPC/GraphQL)
• Background building scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-based services
• Strong experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms
• Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, MSSQL, Redis, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Experience deploying applications to Kubernetes using Helm and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, similar tools)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Datadog APM or distributed tracing
• Familiarity with Amazon EKS
• Exposure to PHP or modern JavaScript frameworks (React)
• Experience instrumenting applications with logs, metrics, and tracing
