About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team and provide visionary financial leadership. The CFO will be responsible for the overall financial health and strategic direction of the organization, including the preparation and supervision of financial analyses and reports, establishing and maintaining accounting systems, procedures, and controls, and preparing agency budgets. This role involves planning, organizing, and directing fiscal activities such as accounting, payroll, budgeting, and purchasing. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree, with a preference for a CPA, and at least 5 years' experience in accounting and financial operations, including auditing, compliance, and healthcare billing. Experience with general ledger functions, the month-end/year-end close process, and the financial operations of a governmental entity is also preferred. The CFO will be an integral part of the executive leadership team, actively participating in decision-making and supporting the organization's mission and values. Essential tasks for the role include a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, understanding of governmental accounting, and the ability to manage multiple work initiatives. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and management skills, and will be responsible for recruiting and retaining top-performing financial professionals. The role also involves overseeing the financial services program, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local requirements, and participating in the development and implementation of the organization's strategic plan.
