Job Description

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Student Nurse Intern, where you will gain hands-on experience under the supervision of a licensed nurse. General Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities including hygiene, grooming, and mobility.
• Provide skin care and take precautions to prevent skin breakdown.
• Support nutritional needs by preparing patients for meals, assisting with feeding, and monitoring dietary restrictions.
• Collect specimens, perform vital signs, and document intake and output accurately.
• Perform technical nursing procedures such as oxygen therapy management, catheter insertion/removal, intravenous therapy discontinuation, nasopharyngeal suctioning, dressing changes, wound care, and skin management.
• Conduct patient assessments and collaborate closely with primary nurses to ensure quality care.
• Educate patients and families in conjunction with nursing staff.
• Lead and support performance improvement initiatives and foster teamwork.

Education

Currently enrolled in a nursing program or completed nursing education but not yet licensed.

Experience

Entry-level position; no prior experience required.

Mental and Physical Requirements

This role requires considerable mental focus, frequent walking, heavy lifting, and physical activities such as pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching. Exposure to infectious diseases and other health hazards is possible, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
